Dermal Filler Treatments

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

Dermal fillers can be used to give a more defined and pronounced appearance, and replace lost volume. This is achieved by injecting dermal fillers until a desired outcome is achieved. They can be used in various different places and it is done by using a needle or a blunt ended cannula depending upon the area that is being treated.

DOES THE PROCEDURE HURT?

Here at The Clinic, everything is done to make any discomfort minimal. We use fine needles and a topical anaesthetic there is also there is anaesthetic within the products themselves.

WILL THERE BE SWELLING?

There will be small swelling initially but this usually subsides within 48 hours, areas can also be tender to touch and with any injectables there is always a risk of bruising.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Dependant upon product use between 3-18 months

WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS THAT YOU INJECT?

Skin naturally produces hyaluronic acid (HA) when you are young, which keeps the skin full, hydrated and elastic. Dermal fillers mimics the effects of HA causing reduced facial lines, scars and increased plumpness of skin and lips. It is also commonly used to treat lines caused by smoking and sun damage, and loss of volume due to the aging process.

WHEN ARE RESULTS NOTICED?

Results are evident immediately. Minimal swelling and reddening may appear but this should fade quite quickly and is temporary.
